Chris Driessen is a force in the cannabis industry. He is known across the industry for his leadership, strategy development and brand building expertise. His leadership has been instrumental in creating business processes that streamline efficiency, drive dramatic revenue gains and foster lasting, mutually-profitable relationships with the largest names in the marijuana industry.
Chris began my career in cannabis nine years ago when he joined Organa Brands, a leading consumer packaged goods company that was the first to launch a branded vape product in cannabis with commercial success. During his time at Organa Brands, Chris oversaw the expansion of the business into 17 state markets, multiple international partnerships, and distribution into over 3,600 points of retail outlets. Organa Brands was ultimately acquired by a Canadian group, Slang Worldwide, which then went public on the Canadian Securities Exchange in early 2019. With Slang, Chris started out leading the Company’s US operations, which represented over 95% of the revenue the company generated, and subsequently served as CEO until November, 2021.
In his professional tenure prior to Organa Brands, Driessen has led sales efforts for Fortune 500 companies including Starwood, Konica Minolta, Marriott, and Intercontinental Hotels Group. Outside the office, Chris can be found spending time with his wife and three children, hoarding airline miles, and cooking what some might call the best BBQ in America.
